According to Wikipedia there are 6 books. I feel like the first 3 make a story-arc-complete trilogy, and I was surprised and delighted to find the fourth, but it ended in a cliffhanger. I think that is where I stopped, as the fifth was not yet out, then I got eaten by school. Anyway, they are certainly on my, "Re-read the series in its entirety list," which needs a catchier title.
